Cavicularia densa : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cavicularia
''Cavicularia densa'' is the only species in the liverwort genus ''Cavicularia''. It is distinguished from ''Blasia'' by the absence of a collar around the base of the sporophyte capsule, and a clustered arrangement of sperm-producing antheridia. ''Cavicularia'' is endemic to Japan, where it grows on fine soil. The chemical compound cavicularin was isolated from this species. The compound is notable for being the first such compound isolated from nature with optical activity. == References ==
